Scholarships Overview

We have scholarships available for:

Work-Trade participants
You must be able to arrive early on the first day and stay late on the last day to help move furniture and set up camp. During the week of camp, jobs will include organizing snacks, helping with outdoor activities and the auction, sweeping dance floors, monitoring fragrance-free products, and performing unforeseen tasks.

"Youth" age 18-30

Jude Biggs scholarship for a talented, aspiring dance musician to attend camp for free

Need-Based scholarships for folks who would otherwise not be able to attend Hey Days

Indicate any interest in a scholarship on the Hey Days registration form on the registration page and submit the additional scholarship application form as appropriate (the specific forms are available on individual scholarship info pages). To ensure the best chance to get a scholarship, submit your application by the lottery postmark deadline of April 22 (later applications welcome, space provided). Your application must be accompanied by a $200 ($100 deposit for youth scholarship applications) deposit. We will return your deposit if you don’t receive a scholarship and are therefore unable to attend.

If you don’t need a scholarship yourself, please consider making a donation towards the scholarship fund (to help make camp available to everyone across the economic spectrum) as part of your registration. You may donate by check to BACDS, mailed to BACDS Hey Days c/o Cat Fox 550 Central Ave #205, Alameda, CA 94501 or online by clicking the button below.
