BACDS American Dance and Music Week, July 1-8, 2006

Registration

The full fee of $730 includes room, board, and tuition and may be paid upon registering. A minimum $125 deposit must accompany each application. Final payment is due by June 1. Registration after June 17 must be paid-in-full by cash, cashier's, or traveler's check.

All applications will be considered in order of receipt. If camp is oversubscribed by March 25, a drawing will be held on April 3. Notification of acceptance or wait-list status will be sent by April 12, followed by a comprehensive information packet.

All cancellations incur a minimum $25 fee. $125 will be retained for cancellations received after April 12. $400 will be retained for cancellations received after June 1. The entire registration fee may be retained for cancellations received after June 17. To protect your investment, you may wish to purchase Trip Cancellation Insurance.

A limited number of Work Scholarships, covering up to 1/3 of the registration fee, are available. Scholarship requests must include the $125 deposit. A full Jude Biggs Scholarship is offered to an amateur musician interested in developing skills in playing for community dances. Qualified candidates, please contact Jim Oakden to apply.

Only full-time registrants will be accepted. Participants 15-17 years old are welcome if accompanied by a responsible adult. All campers will choose a light daily chore. Pets are not allowed. Smoking is permitted only in limited areas of the site. For the health of all camp participants, please use fragrance-free personal hygiene products. Information regarding products provided by BACDS as well as those you should bring will be detailed in your acceptance packet.

Shuttle Service [Picture of a Bus]

There is no shuttle service from San Francisco or Oakland Airport to the Mendocino dance camp. If you indicate on the registration form that you need a ride, our hospitality coordinator Andrea Lehrer will contact you a few weeks before camp to arrange transportation from a local dancer. You can also rent a car at either of the airports.
