A1 1-4 1st corners R-hand turn once round
5-8 1s L-hand turn once round
A2 1-4 2nd corners L-hand turn once round
5-8 2s R-hand turn once round
B1 1-4 1st corners change, passing R-shoulder, then 2nd corners
5-8 Circle L half-way, then 1st cast and face down while 2s lead up and face up.
B2 1-8 With new neighbors, dance a whole double figure-8, 1s crossing down and 2s leading up the outside to start.

COMPANIONS

[All references to corners are to original positions]
A1 1-4 Without hands, circle L one place, balance in and out.
A2 1-4 That again.  All are progressed and improper.
B1 1-4 Chevrons:  1st corners just barely pass R-shoulders, then back into their neighbors’ places as the neighbors cast clockwise into the 1st corners’ places (bars 3-4).  All are now un-progressed and improper.
B2 1-4 Poussette CW half-way, 1st W and 2nd M pushing to start. Partners should release hands early so that the 2nd corners can continue backing up to form the ends of a line of four and the 1st corners can step into the middle and face each other.
C1 1-6 All dance 6 changes of a hey for four, starting with the 1st corners (in the middle) passing L shoulders. End with the 1st corners at the ends improper and the 2nd corners in the middle proper facing each other.
C2 1-3 1st corners loop R (this figure may finish a little early -use the extra time on the next figure) while 2nd corners gypsy L-shoulder 3/4.
  4-6 With partner, all gypsy R-shoulder 1 1/4 to progressed places.

EMMA TURNS THREE

Sicilian Circle, Trio Facing Trio, 2/2 meter

A1 1-8 HEYS ACROSS THE WAY: Middles pass by R-shoulder and turn R to whole hey with the ends in opposite trio. As middles are about to finish heys, they meet and R-hand turn 3/4 into…
9-16 HEYS WITH YOUR OWN: Middles dance a whole hey with their own ends, starting R-shouldered with the person who was on their L at the beginning of the dance. At the end of the hey, everyone face away from their original trio, middles back in the middle place.
B 1-4 Toward new trio, forward a double and back in lines of three.
5-8 Balance forward and back, pass through and turn over R shoulder into...
  9-12 Back to back with the person you’re facing.
13-16 Pass through 2 trios (the one you just danced with and your original trio) to meet a new trio.

FELICITY
Longways for Four Couples, 3/4 meter

A 1-2 1st W and 4th M cast R one place as their neighbors move into their places.
3-4 Middles gypsy R-shoulder half-way with new opposites.
  5-8 While middles R-hand star once round, ends take R hands, balance forward and back, then box the gnat.
9-10 1st M and 4th W cast as in 1-2.
  11-12 Middles gypsy R-shoulder half-way with partners.
13-16 As in 5-8.
B 1-4 With partner, all back to back.
5-8 All circle L half-way.
  9-12 Ends start grand chain (with hands) by passing R-hand with partner.  Middles wait for the chain to reach them, thus starting L-handed and doing only 3 changes to the ends’ four.
  13-16 All 2-hand turn with partner.

A1 1-4 1s gate the 2s all the way up and around.
5-8 3s gate the 2s all the way down and around.
A2 1-8 Whole morris hey, 1s and 3s start by casting toward center (1s narrow, 3s wide), 2s by leading up the center (skip change step). 1s finish facing outward.
B1 1-4 1s and 2s mirror gypsy with neighbors, 2s moving up the center to start.
5-8 2s and 3s dance two changes of rights and lefts, with hands, starting with partner by the right.
B2 1-4 All set to partners and cross over passing right shoulder (stay facing out).
  5-8 All face right and move in a clockwise circle, no hands, half-way around the set.

B1 1-4 With partner, gypsy L-shoulder once round, flowing into...
  5-8 R-shoulder gypsy along line with neighbor. Men end the gypsy by turning R, into...
B2 1-4 Partners 2-hand turn once round.
  5-6 1s cast down and face down as 2s lead up and face up.
  7-8 All cloverleaf turn single.

NEWS FROM TRIPOLI
Duple Minor Longways, proper, 3/2 meter

A1 1-8 1st corners cast CCW to start a whole figure of 8 around the 2nd corners (who move up or down when the 1st corners cast), passing L shoulders in the middle, looping CW around partners, passing R shoulders in the middle, looping L around original neighbor and ending in 2nd corners’ places.
A2 1-8 As above, for the 2nd corners (now in 1st corner positions). All end home.
B1 1-4 R-hand star, then L-hand star.
  5-8 3 changes of R and L, starting with partner by the R and ending with the 1s facing down.
B2 1-6 1s lead through the 2s below and cast back (9 steps), then lead through the 2s above and cast back (9 steps).
7-8 With partner, all two-hand turn.

TURN OF THE TIDE

13-16 1s lead down through 2s and cast back to top.
B 1-4 1s lead down, turn toward each other (changing hands), and fall back down the set.
5-8 1s lead up, turn toward each other (changing hands), and fall back up the set to place.
  Turning Poussette:
9-10 Holding both hands, women draw partner straight back out of set.
  11 Women, in place, pivot 1/4 turn to the R as men step left to face along the line.
  12 Men, in place, pivot 1/4 turn to the R as women step left to face across the set.
  13-14 Women draw partners straight back into line.
  15-16 Partners 2-hand turn half-way and open to circle with the next pair.

B2 1-8 3s gate 1s down, then 2s gate the 1s up. 1s end in middle.
C1 1-8 1s R-hand star with 3s, then L-hand star with 2s.
C2 1-6 1s and 3s dance 3 changes of rights and lefts (with hands), starting with partner. (2nd progression).
7-8 1s dance down the outside one place as the 2s lead up to become 3s. (3rd progression).
