BACDS Fall Ball
 Celebrating the tricentiquinqagenary (350th anniversary) of
John Playford's "English Dancing Master" through modern interpretations

About our caller...

Jody McGeen is leader of the former BACDS San Jose English Dance Class and was founder and artistic director of Mayfield Morris & Sword. She has been on staff at Pinewoods English & American and Scottish Session weeks; Berea Christmas Dance School; BACDS Mendocino Dance Camp, English & American and English weeks, Monte Toyon Spring Weekend, La Honda Fall Weekend, and is a regular at BACDS Family Week; Seattle Ritual Dance Weekend and Hudson Guild Farm Weekend, NJ. She has been programmer for  three years of the Mendocino Dance Camp; and BACDS Playford Ball Ogress (the term was coined for her).

Jody is a cellist who spends her days playing chamber music and evenings playing Gilbert and Sullivan shows. and has played in the Playford Ball band for BACDS and in New York City. Jody is has just finished her second year as a retired music and computer teacher.

  • Our regent of registration (be nice to her!) is Helena Ivatt
  • The website is entirely the fault of Ric Goldman
  • Committee members doing a good bit of everything include Anne Miller-Bagwell, Ellen Simms, and Tom Colton
