JUNE

Wednesday, June 3
The Wednesday Berkeley contra starts off the month at GNC with caller Jim Saxe and music by an Open Band led by dotGals (Susan Sullivan, Karen Warrick, Kathy Hirsh, and Adam Cavan).

The penultimate San José English dance (held at SJS) before the summer break. Alan Winston and Jody McGeen share calling duties, with tunes provided by Greenwich Mean Time (Kay Thorne, Vaughn Wolff and Stanley Kramer).

Friday, June 5
FIrst Friday English dance in downtown Palo Alto at MT, with Bob Fraley and Nonesuch Country Dance Players (Ruth Anne Fraley, Susan and Stanley Kramer) .

Saturday, June 6
A hot San Francisco contra at SF,with caller Charlie Fenton and those Hillbillies From Mars (Ray Bierl, Kevin Carr, Paul Kotapish, & Daniel Steinberg).

Wednesday, June 10
The Berkeley English dance at GNC: Alisa Dodson and Lise Dyckman calling with music by Charlie Hancock, David Strong and friends.

Friday, June 12
Kirston Koths calls the contra at FIN, with a mighty trio Cathie Whitesides (moved from Bay Area to Seattle), Paul Kotapish (moved from Seattle to Bay Area) and Laurie Andres (who's never lived here, but lucky for us he visits!).

Saturday, June 13
The San Francisco English Dance at BET starts at 7:30pm, and features Jody McGeen calling with music by Stan and Susan Kramer and Craig Johnson.

Palo Alto Contra at PA, with Charlie Fenton calling and music by Laurie Andres, Cathie Whitesides, and Paul Kotapish.

Sunday, June 14
and East Bay Square/Contra at El Cerrito's ECV. Jim Saxe calls starting at 7pm, with music by (last chance!) Paul, Laurie and Cathie.

Wednesday, June 17
The East Bay Wendesday contra at Berkeley's GNC with Erik Hoffman calling and music supplied by an Open Band led by .

The San José English dance holds its final class before the summer break (it will return the first Wednesday in September). Alisa Dodson and Jody McGeen close things out to the music of Greenwich Mean Time (Kay Thorne, Vaughn Wolff and Stanley Kramer).

Friday, June 19
The Palo Alto English dance at MT features Lise Dyckman calling with music by Stan and Susan Kramer and Craig Johnson.

Saturday, June 20
The San Francisco contra, at, well, SF. Charlie Fenton calls to the music of The Contrabandits (Kathrine Gardner, Chris Knepper, Charlie Hancock, and Kit Nelson) .

Wednesday, June 24
The fourth Wednesday English dance GNC with Alisa Dodson calling to the music of Avis Minger, Judy Linsenberg and Craig Johnson.

Friday, June 26
A Friday SF contra at SF. Kimberly McKittrick calls; Ray Bierl, Craig Johnson, and Chris Knepper provide the tunes.

Saturday, June 27
The Fairfax dance at FCC has series host Stuart Moody calling to the music of 42 (John & Iseult Caufield, Elisa Welch).

The fourth Saturday experienced English dance at GNC features Alisa Dodson calling and music by the mighty trio of Charlie Hancock, David Strong, and Allen Dodson.

The Palo Alto contra at PA--Jim Saxe calling to the decidedly Irish music of Tipsy House (Jack Gilder, Chris Knepper and Junji Shirota).
