Here's the latest news on our cavalcade of BACDS callers and musicians!

and many other favorites, including

$35 all-day ticket, $25 day only, $20 evening only. Children half price.
Volunteer 1 hour, half off; volunteer 2 hours, free day OR evening; 3 hours, all free!

We need volunteers to help out with all aspects of the event. We especially need volunteers to spend an hour or two during the day itself with things like staffing the registration table, staff rides, BART shuttle, serving cake, and cleanup. Email Jens Dill at jens.dill@comcast.net to sign up.

Parking is limited: make plans to carpool

We'll also have a History Room, where you can bring your own photos, videos, and mementos for display (get in touch with us if you want to arrange to send us electronic scans). Dig up those old pictures of Playford Balls, Dawn Dances, No Snow Balls, or local BACDS morris ales!

Button Collection: Bring your buttons and nametags from past BACDS events to display on community banners in the history room.

We can use help staffing the History Room, too -- email Julie Thomas to offer your memorabilia or to volunteer as a docent.

Got more questions about our anniversary party? Email bacds@bacds.org

A variety of food and drink (including vegetarian selections) will be available for purchase, so that people will not need to leave the site or bring their own food for lunch and dinner. However, you're welcome to do so. We won't be able to sell beer or wine.

Directions: (First, carpooling is a good idea if you can manage it.) From Hwy 13 exit on Joaquin Miller Road. Take Joaquin Miller about 1/4 mile up the hill to the intersection with Butters. (Since parking is limited at the site, it may be a good idea to park on Joaquin Miller and carpool from here. There will be a carpool station at the corner of Joaquin Miller and Butters where you can meet to share rides. Please pick up people you see standing here if you're driving in.)

If driving - turn Right on Butters and go about 1/2 mile. Look for the small Naturfreunde sign, the BACDS Anniversary sign, the balloons, and a steep downhill driveway on the right side, taking you to their parking area.

There'll be a parking czar on duty. Follow the czar's instructions. (Try to be pleasant; he'll be out in the hot sun all day)

A huge outdoor dance floor is on the left, and the clubhouse is on the right. The dance floor has an incredible view of Oakland, San Francisco, the Bay and the Peninsula.

You may want to wear a good sun hat and possibly sunglasses for outdoor dancing. Bring a couple of pairs of dancing shoes. The outdoor floor is a redwood deck and may be slow; the indoor floor is a ballroom floor. Food and water will be for sale, but if you want to be sure of your beverage of choice, bring it (no hard liquor!).
