All Music All The Time! For those who just want to play music, this is the place to feast on workshops all day long, and music sessions moderated by staff bands during the evening dances.

Whether you learn by ear or notation, bring your instruments and voice to participate in focused music workshops in both daily classes and special one-time sessions. Or join a like-minded pick-up group and jam! It’s wall-to-wall music sessions and workshops throughout the day and evening. You don’t have to be a dancer or a musician to enjoy the full music track at AmWeek.

Making Danceable Dance Music with Max Newman: Explore practical (and fanciful) concepts and techniques to make music that serves the dance.

It’s More than Boom-Chuck! with Rachel Aucoin: Tricks and techniques to enrich your piano accompaniment skills.

Québecois Styling and Ornamentation with Sabin Jaques: Accentuation, triplets and Québec-style swing for any instrument.

Fiddle with Mister-T with Éric Favreau: Indulge in Québec repertoire including both dance tunes and a few of the crooked tunes that are characteristic of the genre.

Contradance Fiddle with Rodney Miller : Modern contradance music has evolved a lot over the last few decades; find out how to play some dance magic.

Funky All-Comers Class with Stuart Kenney: Bring instruments, voices, percussion toys and more to integrate original tunes, spoken word, movement, and rhythms.

Sight-reading with Michelle: learn techniques to develop speed and accuracy reading music you have not seen before, and exercises & drills to further develop sight-reading skills after camp.

A Cornucopia of Songs with Shira Kammen: Ballads, rounds, work songs (Railroads! Ships! Mines!), love songs, dance songs — you name it, we’ll sing it!

Write that Tune with George Paul: Get that tune waiting inside you out into the world.

Slow Jam: For those not ready for the Open Band, the Slow Jam is for you. We'll play well-known tunes at a stately tempo, and will learn some easy tunes you can add to your repertoire.

And of course, Laura and George will conduct the infamous Camper Band workshop!
