Usage Explanation
Right file (RF) As you are standing in longways set, R shoulder is up
Left file (LF) As above, L shoulder is up
#1RF, #2LF, etc. The numbers refer to the dancer in the first or second couple who is in the RF or LF, regardless of whether they are above or below
R&L Rights and lefts with hands, 4 changes unless stated otherwise
Circular hey Rights and lefts without hands, 4 charges unless stated otherwise
Circles All once around unless stated otherwise
Hand turns All once around unless stated otherwise
R or L hands across All once around unless stated otherwise
Pousettes All are push/pull; there are no draw pousettes in this program

We are doing the Australian version of this dance. They changed a few small things from the original version in Maggot Pie, and set it to a different tune by Handel. This tune has no As and Bs and isn’t phrased as I have written the dance instructions, but I think having those landmarks will help you learn the dance. Be sure to watch the video on our website to see how the dance and Handel tune fit together.

Rebecca wrote this music after a horrific wildfire in her home area. I have been through a similar fire where I live, and have never forgotten the desolation of the ashes and stark remains of the burned areas. But, as time goes on, green grass appears and very slowly, regeneration happens.
