BACDS 28th Annual Monte Toyon Spring Weekend Dance Camp

Join us at our annual Spring Dance Weekend at Monte Toyon in Aptos California - a beautiful retreat in the redwoods just outside of Santa Cruz. The weekend is filled with dance and music workshops, dance parties, singing sessions, music jams, and more! All ages and dance abilities are welcome.

The Bristol Players West Coast Tour

Edward Jay and Fiona Barrow, a multi-talented duo from the southwest of England, will swing through the Bay Area in March - March 14-16 2008: Spring weekend; March 19: English Country Dance (Mountain View); March 20: Barn Dance (Oakland); March 22: Experienced English Country Dance (Berkeley); March 26: English Country Dance (Berkeley); March 28: Contra (SF); March 29 Contra (Palo Alto).

Playford Ball: A Continental Excursion

This will be the 26th annual BACDS Playford Ball, an elegant evening of English country dance and music, delectable food, and good cheer. Check the schedule for other Playford events throughout March!

San Francisco Contra Weekend - Balance the Bay

Come dance with us in the City by the Bay! We're excited to offer San Francisco's first Contra Dance and Music Weekend: Balance the Bay. This non-residential urban weekend offers all the amenities of the city, with dancing and workshops in a relaxed, friendly and enjoyable environment, featuring calling by Carol Ormand and Lynn Ackerson with music by Lift Ticket and The Crabapples.

BACDS' 15th Anniversary Family Week

Looking for a fun-filled week of dance, song, crafts, and activities for families of all sizes and ages? BACDS Family Week is the camp for you. Its program includes both age-specific and age-neutral activities, and is the ideal activity for families of all sizes (including families of one). BACDS English Dance Week

The BACDS English Dance Week offers still another wonderful year at the historic Mendocino Woodlands Camp. Come prepared to participate in a camp experience that has been exhilarating campers for more than 20 years!  Spend your days going from class to class beneath the soaring redwoods, learning new skills and polishing old, and spend your nights dancing to glorious music in a hall full of friends.  The 2008 staff includes:

•  Bruce Hamilton, internationally recognized English country dance teacher
•  Joanna Reiner, English and Scottish country dancing
•  Program director Brooke Friendly, English and Scottish country dancing
