The Bay Area Country Dance Society is a non-profit
organization that sponsors over twenty community dances every
month as well as special
events and dance camps
throughout the year. We also support a number of performance teams who present and
celebrate living folk traditions of English and American folk dance
styles.
Traditional American and English country dancing
offers something for all: from the homespun fun of a barn dance
hoedown to the grace and elegance of a country ballroom.
You'll be surprised and thrilled how easy it is to get started and
join in! Everyone can do it! Individuals, couples, and
families are welcome. Dress casually: wear comfortable clothes and
shoes. Come and have a good time! See our Dance Sampler for
more details on just what it is we do, or check out our Newcomers
page.

Long ago in England, Morris
dancers came to town and village, celebrating the springtime
and spreading good cheer, with
their bells, ribbons, sticks, hankies, music and song. Join us as
we continue this ancient tradition and dance the sun
up!
