BET--Bethany United Methodist Church, 1268 Sanchez (at Clipper), San Francisco. 2nd Saturday English dance, 7:30pm.

Wednesday, March 4
The month comes in like a lion at GNC with a contra called by Charlie Fenton and Open Band led by Shira Kammen, Chris Knepper, Charlie Hancock

Jody McGeen & Alan Winston call at SJS to the ever-delightful music of Kay Thorne, Stan Kramer, & Vaughn Wolff.

Friday, March 6
The first Friday Palo Alto English at MT: Bob Fraley teaching, music by Nonesuch Country Dance Players (Ruth Anne Fraley, Susan and Stanley Kramer) .

Saturday, March 7
The San Francisco contra at SF. Series host Charlie Fenton calls to the mellifluously-named band Squeaky Wheel (Jim Oakden, Charlie Hancock, & Chuck Aronson).

Sunday, March 8
The second of three BACDS Playford Ball workshops, this one in San Mateo at CCH Lise Dyckman teaches, band TBD, dance 2-5 PM. For information call 650-326-3665

& In El Cerrito, starting at 7pm at ECV, Jim Saxe calls an evening of dances to the mostly-southern tunes of Maxine Gerber, Kathrine Gardner, & Dan Warrick.

Wednesday, March 11
Berkeley English at GNC. Alisa Dodson leads the dance, and Craig Johnson, Mark Carroll, David Strong serve up the tunes.

Friday, March 13
Another Friday the 13th, and, of course Kirston Koths' dance at FIN. Music by Daniel Steinberg, Laura Light, Piper Heisig.

Saturday, March 14
The Second Saturday SF English dance at BET starts at 7:30. Bob Fraley calls to the music of Ruth Anne Fraley, Katherine Gardner, & friend.

[2/4] Palo Alto contra at PA features Eric Black and those Hillbillies From Mars (Paul Kotapish, Kevin Carr, Ray Bierl and Daniel Steinberg).

Wednesday, March 18
Hot contra at GNC in Berkeley: Massachussetts caller Susan Kevra is joined by musical marvels Bill Tomczak (MA), Claudio Buchwald (IN) and friends in an Open Band.

San José English dance at SJS, with Jody McGeen & Alisa Dodson and music by Kay Thorne, Stan Kramer, & Vaughn Wolff.

Friday, March 20
The downtown Palo Alto English dance at MT features Bob Fraley and Nonesuch Country Dance Players (Ruth Anne Fraley, Susan and Stanley Kramer) .

Saturday, March 21
San Francisco contra at SF. David Newitt calls to the dynamic trio of Kathrine Gardner, Rebecca King, and Deirdre Lynds.

Sunday, March 22
& Erik Hoffman holds forth at the Square/Contra in El Cerrito's ECV starting at 7pm. Music by an Open Band led by David Brown, Brendan Doyle, & Carlo Calabi.

Wednesday, March 25
Fourth Wednesday English dance at GNC has David Newitt calling to tunes by Chuck Ward, Jon Berger, & Judy Linsenberg.

Friday, March 27
Looking for a great contra during Playford Ball weekend? Look no further than San Francisco: Erik Hoffman and The Contrabandits (Kathrine Gardner, Chris Knepper, Charlie Hancock, and Kit Nelson) !

Saturday, March 28
The GNC "!Exp" English dance in Berkeley has been cancelled. See you at the Playford Ball!

An elegant evening of food and dance at BACDS' Playford Ball at "SRB". Ambassador Bob Fraley, music by Bangers & Mash (Susan and Stanley Kramer, David Strong and Craig Johnson) , by pre-registration only.
